Mandatory consumer-protection law always controls. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
1. Provider and acceptance
The service is provided by Matora Inc., 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901-3618, United States. By downloading, purchasing, creating a pseudonymous account, or continuing to use matoraVPN, you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy.
If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility, account, and recovery credentials
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. A minor may use the service only where local law permits and a guardian consents.
matoraVPN can use a random support code, recovery key, and device sessions instead of a conventional username. You are responsible for preserving the recovery key; we cannot recreate a key you did not save. Access may not be sold, transferred, or shared beyond the plan's device limit.
3. Subscriptions, auto-renewal, pricing, and tax
Paid purchases are currently App Store only. Before payment, Apple identifies the plan, interval, current price, applicable tax, seller, and renewal arrangement. Website card checkout is unavailable.
You authorize the Apple channel to charge the displayed price on each renewal date. A price change applies to a later term only after legally required notice, and you may cancel before it takes effect. If website checkout is formally enabled later, the applicable seller and Stripe processing terms will be shown separately.
4. License and service scope
While your access is valid and you follow these Terms, we grant a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the clients. Matora Inc. and its licensors retain ownership and intellectual-property rights.
The service includes Smart Location, connection protection, device controls, and support. Locations, protocols, speed, and availability vary with networks, devices, carriers, providers, and local restrictions. Censorship-resilience is an engineering objective, not a promise that every network or region will always connect.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use or help others use the service to:
- violate applicable law, court orders, sanctions, or export controls;
- attack, intrude, scan, distribute malware, commit fraud, send spam, or infringe another person's rights;
- bypass device limits, resell access, interfere with the service, or extract keys, source code, or security controls;
- run automated abuse that creates abnormal load for other users, networks, or providers.
6. Privacy, security, and support
Our processing is described in the Privacy Policy. The product does not build individual activity profiles from browsing history, visited content, or destination DNS queries; anti-abuse, billing, device, and support data are handled on a data-minimization basis.
Do not send passwords, recovery keys, full payment-card data, private files, or unnecessary network identifiers to support. Replies remain in the on-site ticket even when email notification is unavailable.
7. Cancellation, refunds, and service credit
Cancellation stops future renewals but ordinarily does not itself refund the current term. An eligible first web charge may be requested within the published window, which is 30 days after payment in the final policy. Apple purchases must be requested through Apple's purchase channel.
Eligibility, exclusions, processing steps, and mandatory consumer rights are in the Refund Policy. Service credit is separate from a cash refund and has no cash value unless law requires otherwise.
8. Suspension, termination, and exit
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, material abuse, security risk, non-payment, legal requirements, or service discontinuation. Where practical and lawful, we provide notice and a support path.
On termination, the license ends. Data needed by law or to resolve disputes, refunds, or security incidents may be retained under the Privacy Policy; remaining data is deleted or de-identified under the retention schedule.
9. Service changes, maintenance, and availability
We may update clients, locations, and features for security, compliance, performance, or supplier changes. We aim to announce planned maintenance on the status page; urgent security changes may be immediate.
Internet access, carriers, app stores, and third-party infrastructure are not entirely within our control. Except where law requires otherwise, the service is provided as-is and as-available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, fixed speed, or fitness for every purpose.
10. Liability boundaries
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matora Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or loss of profit, data, or opportunity. Aggregate liability for service-related claims is limited to the amount you actually paid for the service during the 12 months before the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or liability and consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory consumer law where you live, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable United States federal law, and disputes are submitted to the state and federal courts located in Delaware, United States. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution through support.
If a term is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without written consent; we may assign it in a reorganization, merger, or asset transfer.
12. Changes and contact
Material changes are announced before they take effect through the site, clients, or an available contact method, and the effective date is updated. If you disagree, cancel and stop using the service before the revised terms take effect.
